SWEATY INTELLIGENT ECSTATIC
eighteen years ago, schuyler grant + tal rachleff opened kula as businesses established and re-established themselves in lower manhattan as part of the city’s recovery post 9/11. in 2010, schuyler partnered with nikki vilella and opened kula williamsburg alongside the shanti shack.
tribeca has been transformed since the early days of kula—and the studio weathered more than a few of its own transformations—but many things remained unchanged. the majority of our teachers and many of our staff climbed our famous green stairs for more than ten years, and without them—and you—kula would never have lived up to its namesake: the rad intentional community it was always intended it to be.
we are proud and humbled to have spent nearly two decades at the top of those green stairs. 2020 is a year of seismic shifts, and it remains to be seen where and when the kula community will gather for in-person classes again.
in the meantime, please practice with us virtually. visit our online classes tab to see live daily offerings or access hundreds of classes on-demand from our replay library.
as always: much love and gratitude. we could never be doing this without you.
xoxo, schuyler, tal, nikki, + the kula community
